A lovely local form of this beautiful native from moist meadows (the Atascadero drainage west of Sebastopol in this case). Fine textured dark green leaves with 3 feet or more tall grass blossoms that are very light and airy. Very different from the shorter stockier coastal subspecies (ssp. holciformis). Deer resistant.
