This is the traditional bay leaf used in cooking. Evergreen, naturally grows as a broad-based compact shrub but takes well to training - often grown as a small standard tree. Little yellow flowers in April followed often by 3/4” dark berries. Full sun to partial shade, good drainage. Deer resistant.
