Ceanothus espalier
An informal espalier Ceanothus, either Ceanothus 'Dark Star'
or the very similar Ceanothus 'Julia Phelps' in a Berkeley street
side planting. The Ceanothus is obviously enjoying the bright
western exposure and the mildness of the Berkeley micro-climate.

Bigleaf Maple
Spring continues around Sonoma County with the
swelling buds and flowering of Acer macrophyllum,
bigleaf maple.
