Chick lupine is an ANNUAL species of varying color and height with a wide distribution in California and neighboring regions. This subspecies has gorgeous pinkish-purple flowers that are highly attractive to pollinators. With its small, palmately-lobed leaves and elegant flower spikes, it can range from 1 -2.5 feet in height. A fast-growing and adaptable spring bloomer that prefers full sun and no additional water once established. Tolerates a variety of soil types and does well in containers. Deer resistant.
